Born from a cancellation
The Mystery Tour Club was born from a cancellation. In 2026, our original trip to Seville fell apart when the return flights were cancelled, so we decided to embrace the chaos: the replacement destination would be booked, but kept secret from everyone except the organiser until we arrived at the airport. The experiment worked so well that we turned it into a rule. From then on, the wheel of names would choose the next organiser, and each mystery trip would follow the same format. The club’s founding rules were agreed in the shadow of the Parthenon at Zonar’s restaurant, over five Mythos beers and a shared desire to keep the mystery alive.

The Mystery Tour Club is a private travel club built on surprise, trust, and well-planned adventure. Each trip is organised in secret by one member, with the destination revealed only at the agreed moment. What began as a one-off response to a cancelled trip became the club’s defining idea: better travel, stronger stories, and no spoilers.
What defines the club
- Every trip is a genuine mystery until the reveal.
- Tours are organised to a high standard, with comfort, practicality, and group enjoyment in mind.
- No city is repeated, and every trip takes place outside mainland UK and the Republic of Ireland.
- The club exists for dedicated Mystery Tours only, separate from stag dos and other unrelated trips.
How it works
The next organiser is chosen by the wheel of names. That organiser takes responsibility for planning the trip, sharing key travel information at the right time, and keeping the destination secret. Once dates and final costs are confirmed, each member must commit clearly: in or out.
Club traditions
Secrecy is part of the experience and a core rule of the club. Every trip adds to the club’s history through its flag, campaign badge, and organiser recognition. The result is a growing travel tradition shaped by surprise, ritual, and shared memories.
